This is one half of a duplex that I made over for traveling nurses, with some help from my stepson Rodney.
It wasn’t a complete rehab, just a big facelift for the kitchen (cabinet paint, flooring, lighting, island) and a fresh coat of paint.

The carpet was already removed, so all we did in this room was paint and replace outlets/light switches (it’s amazing how much of a difference that little touch makes in person!)
This kitchen really needs to be fully redone, but that was outside my budget. I painted the cabinets, scrubbed the bejeejus out of everhthing, replaced some hardware, and laid down vinyl tile flooring. Then I added the island (actually a cart, but I replaced the wheels with bun feet) and we painted.
I think the whole kitchen facelift cost about $1,000. These photos were taken before I added the pot rack above the stove.
This room just got paint and furnishings. (the carpet had already been removed).
This bathroom is so much cuter in person! Just added vinyl flooring, peel-and-stick window film, and redid the gross grout around the tub. Although I like the original tile floor, the blue color was just off with the wall tile.
